HIRING A HEADHUNTER

Call for a phone consultation to learn the secrets to creating a successful working relationship with Executive Search. You can also learn how to find a good, reputable Firm to help you secure work. I also teach …

*How to work effectively with the Agency/Executive Recruiter
*What they look for in candidates and why
*What you need to know when hiring a Headhunter

*********************************************************************

Also, there are some Temporary Employment Agencies as well as Executive Search Firms that provide "Full-Service". So, in addition to helping you secure employment and providing job leads at no cost to you, they also have an on-site Staffing & Interview expert available to provide effective and professional job interviewing, career coaching and/or job counseling services. As I mentioned, the Employer pays the fee if you are hired so you only pay for the coaching service if you decide to utilize one.

A good coach will have Corporate Staffing experience and will teach you…

*How to ace the interview
*Negotiate the best possible compensation package
*Survive & thrive in your new job

They "re-package" candidates without changing who you are. This is in addition to providing job leads and sending you out on interviews. But please understand the information you pay for is only as effective as the person teaching the information so be sure to ask questions about the career coaches' background and experience.

These Firms offer what I call "The Total Package"

If you're hired, your new Employer pays the recruiting fee, not you. The Employer is charged a recruiting fee that is usually based on a percentage of your annual salary. If you decide to have a counseling session, you only pay a fee (usually $150 - $300+) for the specific sessions you select. The fee depends on the specific area(s) of coaching services you select, if you decide to utilize these additional services. But keep in mind, the information will be very useful in future interviews and all throughout the rest of your career, so it's well worth it.

This type of service is a low-cost method for quickly and easily securing the perfect job.

You'll have TWO experts working for you; one for job leads & one for coaching.

Each one focuses and concentrates on their specific areas of expertise so it's highly effective.

Classes are individually tailored to your specific needs and personal circumstances

Here are the sessions most often requested by job seekers of all levels of ability;

*Effective Job Interview skills
*What Interviewers and Hiring Managers want to see and hear
*Ace the interview
*Avoiding all forms of Discrimination, including Age Discrimination.
*Salary Negotiation skills so you are not low-balled or disqualified
*Thriving in your new job
*Career Transitioning
*Resume critique and feedback

If the expert providing the private class instruction is a seasoned Corporate Staffing & Interview professional, you'll learn the secrets, the inside scoop, to securing your dream job. You'll have this "closed door" empowering information to use throughout your career.

These full service firms are hard to find but if you ask around and search on-line you'll eventually find one. The reason many firms and agencies do not provide these additional coaching services is because many of the experts are not available. They're busy working in Human Resources in a Staffing capacity somewhere in Corporate America and some qualified professionals simply aren't interested or available to teach. The truth is that most Agencies and Firms work hard to send you out on interviews. Then they cross their fingers and hope for the best.

Agencies and Recruiting firms are much more likely to refer candidates who are ideally matched to the position requirements AND who they know will also ace the interview and be a Star candidate. After all, their reputation is at stake. Star candidates, as opposed to mediocre candidates, significantly boost the agencies rating and credibility generating more contracts, referrals and business for them.

Coaching sessions pay off in more ways than one.

So, the agency will send you on interviews and provide job leads but you are only paying a fee to learn salary negotiation, job interviewing skills and/or for career coaching sessions (preferably) taught by a seasoned expert with experience and knowledge that can only be learned working "inside". It's a major plus to learn from an expert Staffing professional because once you have this information you can always apply what you've learned in your coaching sessions in future job interviews including promotions.

Now, you might not get your bang for the buck if the individual teaching job interviewing, salary negotiation and providing career coaching does not have a strong background interviewing candidates in Corporate environments. Interviewing experience alone doesn't ensure they'll have the inside information you need to gain the competitive edge. More specifically, they need to have long term Staffing experience interviewing job candidates in the same environment they'll be working in once hired. If their experience is limited, their knowledge will be limited. Their limited experience and knowledge translates to limited information for you, even if they are authored.

In that case, I do not suggest paying the fee and utilizing this service if the coach never worked on the "other" side of the desk AND especially if they did not hear daily candidate interview feedback year after year, from the actual (Corporate) Hiring Authorities/Managers. Anyone can claim to be an "expert", so be careful.

The people who specifically worked in HR/Staffing and interviewed candidates in various (Corporate) environments are the experts. They are the professionals who really know the ins and outs of the hiring game. They are exactly who you want to hire to provide instruction for your current and future job and career seeking advice.
