DID YOU KNOW? When reviewing resumes, in all of 7 seconds a Corporate Staffing Recruiters "7 second eye sweep" must make an immediate connection between your resume to a job match. In other words, within 7 seconds the decision is made whether a candidate's resume is placed under consideration for further review and categorization OR filed away for good.
We typically group RESUMES into one of FIVE categories.
Since the Staffing Department receives many resumes for almost every open position, the sorting process can be time intensive and tedious. So, in our efforts to simplify the chaos and streamline the process, resumes must be categorized into one of FIVE groups for each open position. It is the best method for accomplishing our recruiting goals. We quickly compare the resume to the Hiring Management's needs and job requirements and categorize accordingly.
During Internet Resume Database Searches we actively search for the most qualified candidates. The resumes that surface in the top are the ones we review, meaning most are never given any attention.

I also trained and mentored less experienced Staffing team members in resume search, selection, sorting, categorizing, screening and interviewing.

That's if they end up in any category at all. The truth is the bulk of the resumes are never reviewed and therefore not categorized. Most end up in the "Inter-Galactic Black Hole of Resumes' since they did not surface during the candidate developer, sourcer or recruiter's resume search. This can easily be avoided.
